AMEC wins brownfield modifications contract

TAQA’s UK business has appointed AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, to undertake the engineering, procurement and construction of the modifications to the Tern oil production platform to accommodate a new subsea tie-back to the Cladhan field in the northern North Sea.

NSSMC, Baosteel plan 4th hot-dip galvanizing line

Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) and Baoshan Iron & Steel (Baosteel) are planning to construct the fourth hot-dip galvanizing line at a site neighbouring the existing lines at Baosteel-NSC Automotive Steel Sheets (BNA).

Monadelphous wins Cape Lambert Port project

Monadelphous Group has secured a major construction contract with Rio Tinto Iron Ore at its Cape Lambert Port B Project in Western Australia. The contract, valued at approximately USD 235M, comprises structural mechanical and piping works for the supply and installation of a screenhouse, two car dumpers and associated conveyor and transfer stations.

Chu Kong receives accreditation for Clad Pipe

Chu Kong Petroleum and Natural Gas Steel Pipe Holdings Group has received accreditation from reputable industry experts for its newly developed clad pipe (Clad pipe). The Clad pipes have qualified API 5LD (2009), DNV OS F101 (2005) and clad pipes technical specification requirements after an examination by the National Quality Supervision and Inspection Center Oil Pipe and CNPC Tubular Goods Research Institute.

Wärtsilä to supply propulsion solutions

Wärtsilä, the marine industry’s leading solutions and services provider, will supply propulsion solutions for six new offshore pipe-laying vessels (PLVs) being built by IHC Merwede. Three of the ships are to be built for Subsea 7, the seabed-to-surface engineering, construction and services contractor to the offshore energy industry.
