Vestas receives 36MW order from juwi Wind

Vestas secured a 36MW order from German wind power plant developer juwi Wind. The order consists of 12 V112 3.0MW turbines that will be deployed at three different projects in Germany.

The contract comprises supply, installation and commissioning of the turbines, along with a VestasOnline Business SCADA solution, as well as a 15-year full-scope service agreement (AOM 4000).

Sonde Resources (Sonde announced the appointment of Toufic Nassif, currently president, Sonde North Africa, to the position of president and CEO after Bill Dirks, the current president and COO formally notified the Board of Directors of his resignation, effective January 3, 2014.

SXP wins for SARB Project in UAE

Schulz Xtruded Products (SXP) has received an order from HYUNDAI Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. for the supply of 4,500m of 6” seamless pipe in material grade alloy 625 for the ADMA-OPCO Satah al-Razboot (SARB) Offshore Oilfield in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Gamesa to install turnkey wind farm in Costa Rica

Gamesa, a global technology company in wind energy, signed a contract to build, deliver and install a 50MW wind farm as a turnkey project for Globeleq Mesoamerica Energy (GME) in Costa Rica.

Gamesa will install 25 of its G87-2.

Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) has 13 oil and gas projects planned to commence production in 2014. Total production capacity from all projects is 954MMscf of gas per day and 194,121 barrels of oil per day.

EVRAZ launches rolling mill in Kostanay

Severstal completes maintenance at CherMK

The Cherepovets Steel Mill (CherMK), the integrated steel mills that are part of the Russian Steel division of OAO Severstal, completed capital maintenance of its No. 2 converter. This project with estimated total investment of EUR 14.
