CNRI extends contract with PD&MS Energy

International engineering company PD&MS Energy secured a major five-year North Sea contract extension with CNR International (CNRI). Commencing in May 2014, the new deal extends the relationship between the two companies, which dates back to 2003.

Severstal begins South Stream Project shipments

OAO Severstal began shipping 813mm diameter pipes for the South Stream Offshore Pipeline. The pipes are manufactured at the Izhora Pipe Mill, part of Severstal’s Russian Steel division.

ArcelorMittal Ostrava to invest in new boiler

ArcelorMittal Ostrava is to build a new boiler as part of a USD 150M modernisation programme for the steelmaker’s power plant. Through its subsidiary ArcelorMittal Energy, a contract has been signed with Finland’s Valmet to install a fluidised bed boiler worth USD 74M, replacing four coal-fired boilers.
