Engineering and services group Bilfinger will test steel foundations for the Wikinger offshore wind farm project in the Baltic Sea on behalf of Spanish energy supplier Iberdrola. Catcher FDP gets UK Govt. approval

Premier Oil received approval for its Catcher area Field Development Plan (FDP) from the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change.
 
The Premier-operated Catcher area, located in the UK Central North Sea, is expected to produce 96 million barrels of oil equivalent with a peak production rate of around 50,000 barrels of oil per day.

BASF to build new PAG plant in Ludwigshafen

BASF announced the construction of a new plant for polyalkylene glycol (PAG)-based lubricants at its Ludwigshafen site. The manufacturing facility will start operations by the beginning of 2016 and produce PAG lubricant base stocks and formulated blends.

Saarstahl continues rolling mill modernisation

Saarstahl is continuing its modernisation programme with further investments in the rolling mills in Völklingen and Burbach following previous major investment projects such as building the new secondary metallurgy in the steelmaking plant.
