Seatronics announces new VP Global Operations

Air Products’ LNG Technology for Freeport LNG

Air Products announced an agreement to provide its proprietary LNG technology, equipment, and process license for Freeport LNG Development’s Train 3 gas liquefaction and export project. The sale includes Air Products’ main cryogenic coil-wound heat exchangers and associated technology, which will be vital in the production of LNG at the facility near Freeport, Texas.

Otto Energy appoints new managing director

Johan Sverdrup construction starts

newsitemProduction of the first elements on the Johan Sverdrup project has begun. On 29 June, Kværner metalworker Stian Myrvold Green started up the machine that will cut the steel for the riser platform jacket on the Johan Sverdrup field. Construction work has commenced, at Kværner in Verdal, on the biggest industrial project in Norway for decades to come.

BASF selects Fluor as Global Engineering Partner

Fluor Corporation announced that Germany-based BASF SE has selected the company as its global engineering partner for future chemical and petrochemical plant projects around the world.
The services agreement was signed at BASF’s chemicals complex and headquarters in Ludwigshafen, Germany, by Peter Oosterveer, Fluor’s COO, Martin Buschbacher, BASF senior vice president of Global Indirect Procurement, Wolfgang Haas, BASF president of Legal, Taxes and Insurance, and Volker Knabe, BASF president of Engineering and Maintenance.
