Samuel, Son & Co. acquires Basic Stainless

Samuel, Son & Co. (Samuel), the fifth largest metal processor and distributor in North America has acquired Basic Stainless Inc., a service center operating from an 80,000sq/ft facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin;

Carpenter Technology Corporation has acquired Oilfield Alloys Pte Ltd for USD 4.8 million. Located in Singapore, Oilfield Alloys manufactures and distributes directional drilling equipment to the Asia-Pacific region.

Sumitomo Metals to acquire Standard Steel

Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd. (Sumitomo Metals) and Sumitomo Corporation will acquire Steel Wheel Acquisition Corporation (SWAC), the parent company of Standard Steel, Inc. (Standard Steel) located in the US.  

Harsco wins enviro solutions contracts

Harsco Corporation has been awarded two new environmental solutions contracts by JSW Steel Ltd. Valued at a combined total of over USD 135 million, the contracts take place over a 10 year period, adding to Harsco’s emerging presence in India

Stainless Structurals forms sister company

Stainless Structurals, LLC, has formed a sister company, Stainless Structurals Works, LLC, in Conroe, Texas. The owner of 40 acres in Conroe, Stainless Structurals Works has executed a contract for construction of a 124,000sq/ft facility.
