SGS to oversee health & safety at Italian refinery
SGS experts will fulfil official safety co-ordination roles for one of the largest refiner and marketer of petroleum products in the world on two projects at a refinery in north west Italy.
Sulzer acquires ASCOM, ProLabNL
Sulzer acquired Advanced Separation Company (ASCOM), providers of oil, water and gas separation equipment, and ProLabNL, an independent company with unique capabilities to test equipment in actual oil field conditions.
Sulzer agreed to acquire both the companies located in Arnhem, The Netherlands, on 15 September.
Snam’s Board approves acquiring stake in TAG
Snam's Board of Directors, under Chairperson Lorenzo Bini Smaghi, approved the acquisition of the stake held by CDP GAS, a fully owned subsidiary of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) in Trans Austria Gasleitung (TAG), for a total amount of EUR 505M.
The transaction is in line with Snam’s international development strategy and further strengthens the company’s role amongst infrastructure operators in Europe.

Steel tubes for umbilicals in the North Sea
Vallourec, the premium tubular solutions company, has been awarded a contract by Technip Umbilicals for the Edradour project operated by TOTAL in the UK.
