Wintershall is stepping up its activities in the southern North Sea. Severstal has signed a four-month contract to deliver rolled steel to Renault-Nissan from March to June 2015. Steel produced at the Cherepovets Steel Mill will be used in car production at the Moscow and Tolyatti plants of Renault-Nissan and AVTOVAZ Alliance.

Olympic Steel, a US-based metals service centre, promoted Andrew Wolfort to general manager of the company's operation in Schaumburg, Illinois, effective immediately. Wolfort initially joined Olympic Steel in 2005 as a general labourer in the company's Cleveland warehouse facility.
