Castle Metals UK appoints Phillips

Castle Metals UK Limited has appointed James Phillips as their new Managing Director. James will succeed Ian Griffiths, the previous founder and Managing Director; Ian established Metals UK Limited in 2002 and sold the Metals UK Group of businesses to the US based AM Castle Group in 2007 after a rapid period of both organic and acquisitive growth. Following the completion of a three year transitional commitment, Ian looks forward to spending more time with his family in addition to developing and pursuing other interests.
   
   James, who joined the company in August 2011 had this to say: “Ian has created, grown and developed an extremely successful group of Companies organised around the key principle of satisfying customers’ needs by providing breadth of material supply and serviceability through the latest value added processing capabilities. Coupled with an extremely knowledgeable and talented team of employees, Castle Metals UK Limited is a business built on solid foundations and I am delighted to join the Company as we commence the next chapter of our strategic development and growth.”
