Carpenter appoints new information officer

Carpenter Technology Corp. (Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, USA) has announced that Laura Scott, 46, has joined the company as vice president and chief information officer. Scott had worked for the ExxonMobil Chemical Company in Macedon, NY, where she had served as chief information officer of ExxonMobil’s packaging manufacturing division since 1998. Previously she had a 13-year career with Eastman Kodak Company, holding a series of senior IT and general management positions, and ultimately was responsible for software products for Kodak’s business imaging systems. Scott holds bachelor’s degrees in fine arts from Pittsburgh-based Carnegie Mellon University and in computer science from Salisbury State University, Md., as well as an MBA from Rochester Institute of Technology.
