Canada: refinery expansion

Mustang Engineering (Mustang), a subsidiary of international energy services company John Wood Group PLC (Wood Group), is currently providing front-end engineering design services to International Alliance Group (IAG) for the Consumers’ Co-operative Refineries Ltd (CCRL) refinery expansion project in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. IAG has been retained by CCRL as program managers for the grassroots portion of the proposed expansion, which would increase the output of Saskatchewan’s only oil refinery by 30%. The grassroots expansion will include a fluid catalytic cracking complex to support additional crude oil processing. The decision to move forward with detail design and construction of the project is slated for early 2008.
