Canada: HRSGS and steam turbine generator

Alstom has signed a contract with TransCanada Corp. and Halton Hills Power Partners to supply two heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs) and one 300MW steam turbine generator for the Halton Hills Generating Station, located near Toronto, Canada. The new power plant will feature Alstom’s triple-pressure reheat “Optimised for Cycling and Constructability” (OCC™) HRSGs. When it enters commercial operation in 2010, the low-emission, high efficiency combined-cycle plant will have the capacity to generate enough power for approximately 600,000 area homes.
