BUTTING tests its products using non-destructive testing techniques and is aware of their importance. It is therefore understandable that it has been a member of the German Society for Non-Destructive Testing (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Zerstörungsfreie Prüfung e.V. – DGZfP) for 40 years now. Recently, BUTTING was honored for its long-standing membership.
The DGZfP is a nationally and internationally recognized technical-scientific association with more than 1,600 members. One of the most important tasks of the DGZfP is to make everyone aware of the importance of non-destructive testing. Because by conducting such tests, manufacturers make a very significant contribution to preventing accidents and disasters in the everyday life of everyone of us. The objective of the association also includes research, development, application and dissemination of non-destructive testing methods as well as the training of testing personnel.
For four decades now, BUTTING has had its testing personnel trained and qualified by the lecturers of the DGZfP in a wide variety of procedures, such as eddy-current testing (ET), leak testing (LT), magnetic particle testing (MT), penetration testing (PT), radiographic testing (RT), ultrasonic testing (UT) and visual testing (VT).
