BS Stainless, a supplier and manufacturer of stainless steel, has recently invested in a new lamination line for adding specialist coatings to a range of metals including stainless steel and aluminium. The new machine has the ability to dual coat material simultaneously at high speeds.
The array of coatings provides a wide range of solutions on one in-house processing line. Stainless steel, aluminium and other metals can be bonded with a high density mass layer to deliver a labour saving and improved barrier to noise.
Tedlar® (PVF) Coating, provides a long lasting protection and aesthetic value for oil and gas pipelines. Normally combined with stainless steel or aluminium it’s branded as Tedmet®.
Mainly required for oil and gas metal jacketing or for heating and ventilation industries as an internal moisture barrier, a combination of DuPont™ Surlyn® and Polyethene helps prevent mould growth. This coating is factory applied by the new line and branded Drymet®.
The main strength of this new fully automated machine is the combination of options and the dual coating facility resulting in materials such as stainless steel or aluminium to have a top coat of Tedmet® applied at the same time as Drymet® to the underside with great efficiency.
