Broder Metals Group adds Mexico to its export list

International metals stockist, Broder Metals Group, has now added Mexico to its growing list of countries to which it exports. The has exported its alloys, steel and flanges to 40 different countries across the globe.

Managing Director, Mark Burton, says the company’s export success is down to a number of factors but mainly it’s the company’s ability to respond to customer need. “Mexico is an exciting new market for us and we are really chuffed to be trading there. Exports currently make up about 40% of our turnover; it’s a key part of our business and one that we want to grow. Our success is built on the fact we put together packages of materials that can be delivered in one batch, which means the customer does not have to ring round 10 different suppliers and deal with all the relative paperwork and shipping costs; that’s cost-effective and saves our export clients money,” said Burton.

Broder’s Head of Exports, Fiorella Di Giannatale says the company is currently in talks with a number of potential clients that could increase the country count even further. “So far we have customers on six of the seven continents and if they start manufacturing fasteners in Antarctica, we will no doubt go there. It’s hard to pin down the precise total number of different countries in the world but this year alone, Broder Metals Group has dispatched materials to approximately 15% of them and 20% since we started trading. Our plan for 2014 is for even more export growth in Africa, South America and Asia,” said Di Giannatale
