BiSN has successfully secured the Innovator Award and Great Company Award (SME) at 2018 Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA). Winners were announced at the prestigious awards ceremony in Aberdeen.
The Great Company Award recognises excellence in SME performance in the offshore energy sector, and was judged the winning entry, based upon the company’s development, impact and plans for future success and growth.
The Innovator Award was received in recognition of the company’s ground-breaking Wel-lok M2M technology which has revolutionised downhole sealing for the oil and gas industry.
Established in 2010, BiSN operates manufacturing and assembly facilities in both Warrington, UK and Houston, USA. With a focus on disruptive technology research and development, the company also undertakes specialist alloy development from its own UK-based laboratory.
Using modified thermite heaters, BiSN’s unique Wel-lok M2M technology reduces the heating time required for metal-to-metal sealant from hours to minutes, whilst eliminating the need for specialist wireline equipment, or restriction on deployment depth.
