In line with the EU RoHS Directive, BigHead bonding fasteners has now standardised on a new chrome-free zinc-passive finish for the mild steel range of its fasteners. This type of finish – containing no hexavalent chromium – is now mandatory for plated metal parts used in the automotive industry, with other industries rapidly following suit. The complete range of BigHead bonding fasteners – some 2000 variants – is available in either mild steel or 316S11 marine-grade stainless.
