Following the acquisition of the VDM Metals Group by the Spanish based Acerinox S.A., the Supervisory Board of VDM Metals GmbH has elected a new Chairman. The VDM Metals Group’s Management Board is also being expanded to include an additional member.
The Supervisory Board of Werdohl-based VDM Metals GmbH held its constituent meeting in May 2020. Bernardo Velázquez Herreros, Chairman of the Management Board of Acerinox, was elected as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
In addition, Daniel Azpitarte Zemp is appointed Member of the Management Board of the VDM Metals Group (VDM Metals Holding GmbH, VDM Metals GmbH, VDM Metals International GmbH). In particular, he will manage the so-called post-merger process, i.e. the necessary adjustment of processes and structures. Azpitarte has been working for Acerinox since 1996 and has held various management positions in recent years.
