BeAM becomes a member of ARTC

BeAM is proudly joining the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC) in Singapore as a Tier 2 member to expand its research activities in South East Asia.

The centre provides a collaborative platform which brings together industry players, public sector research institutes and academia to bridge technological gaps in the adoption of advanced manufacturing and remanufacturing processes.

This membership is a great opportunity for BeAM to further develop the Directed Energy Deposition technology with renowned companies from the aerospace, oil & gas, marine, and consumer goods.

In summer 2019, BeAM will install at ARTC a machine Modulo 400 featuring a controlled atmosphere system; this will provide its members with a unique capacity to develop non-reactive and reactive materials such as Titanium alloys with the highest level of safety and performance.

In parallel, BeAM and ARTC will jointly develop innovative process monitoring systems that will expand the range of applications of the DED technology.

This membership follows the eventful year of 2018 for BeAM in Singapore with the installation of a MAGIC machine at the NTU Singapore Centre for 3D Printing and the opening of its Singapore subsidiary.
