BASF SE’s (Ludwigshafen) Board of Executive Directors has appointed Dr Ehrenfried (Fred) Baumgartner (56) as head of its new Paper Chemicals division with effect from 1 April 2009. Stefano Pigozzi (45), who is currently responsible for the department Glues & Impregnating Resins Europe, is to succeed Mr Baumgartner as head of BASF’s Inorganics division.
