Baosteel’s production line phase III completed

The third phase of the oriented silicon steel production line of Baosteel was fully completed and reached an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons. The oriented silicon steel line paved the way for Baosteel to obtain an advantageous scale effect, to create the conditions to optimize production, lower manufacturing costs and enhance the competitiveness of the products made by Baosteel in the market.
Work on the third phase of oriented silicon steel line started in June 2011. Baosteel’s Silicon Steel business unit was actively involved in the construction and installation of equipment. So far, the installation of the machine unit, stand-alone test run, and cold test run in the third phase has been completed, and the project has entered the hot load testing stage. According to the preliminary reports, the functioning of the machine unit is in normal condition, the precision meets the requirement, stability in process and product quality reaches up to the standard.
