Baosteel launches wear-resisting manganese steel

The supply of first batch of BTW1 medium manganese steel by Baosteel Special Steel to a certain large-scaled coal group based in the north of China marks the market launch of the wear-resisting steel plate of medium manganese steel made by Baosteel Special Steel.
 
The medium manganese wear-resistant steel plate, or BTW1, is a new kind of austenitic steel recently developed by Baosteel Special Steel. This product is mainly designed for steel used in the manufacture of special equipment for coal industry.
 
However, since the products had been launched into the market in 2013, a significant reduction in coal output, thus, it had a very negative impact on consumption demands for the steel products from the coal making companies. Baosteel started to provide the supply of on-trial products to the several key customers in the industry of manufacturing machines and mining equipment for the coal industry.
 
Over time, domestic users have recognised and accepted these plate products, and Baosteel Special Steel has sold medium manganese wear-resistant steel plates to more than 60 manufacturing enterprises.
