Baoshan Iron & Steel Co. has announced that it is increasing its stainless steel output as building demand improves because of China’s CNY 4 trillion stimulus plan. Baoshan has the annual capacity to produce as much as 1.5 million tonnes of hot rolled stainless steel products. Mr Chen Ying VP of Baoshan said that it raised output for the first quarter, up from the previous three months, as demand gained and plant maintenance was completed.
