Back to the DeLorean future

James Espey, veep of the DeLorean Motor Company, one of a large corporate contingent in Detroit, is planning to begin building DeLoreans by Q1 of 2008. This time, instead of attempting to mass-produce the cars, the DeLorean folks will be building them by hand at their assembly plant in the li’l town of Humble, Texas. The goal is to produce 24 original DeLoreans per year. The company will start using its 40,000sq/ft factory of parts to build entirely new cars out of original donor parts. The DeLorean Car Show 2008 will be at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA 12 – 15 June 2008.
