Axis Industries to ship products to Africa

Axis Industries has recently expanded the geographical scope of its operations by manufacturing stainless steel tanks that will be shipped through Namibia to Zambia in central Africa. The client for the containers is the British BMR Group plc, which is building a mine waste re-treatment plant to recover lead and zinc in Zambia. This deal is worth USD 160,000.

“We are open to working in the most diverse markets, and African states are no exception. This is our first stainless steel export project to be implemented in that continent,â€? said Axis Industries’ head of steel manufacturing sales division Vytis Ivanauskas.

According to him, the tanks will be used in the re-treatment process to leach and precipitate metals in mine waste. “The containers are almost 3 meters in diameter and won’t fit into standard containers for sea transport. Therefore, Axis will manufacture and ship them in parts for assembly by the client on-site,â€? explained Ivanauskas. During the first stage of the project, the company will produce 16 containers. The steel products currently being produced by Axis Industries in KazlŠ³ RŠ«da are regularly exported to Norway, Sweden, Finland and Germany.
