Australia: FluroAMEC joint venture

Fluor Corporation has announced that a joint venture with AMEC has been awarded a follow-on contract to perform engineering, procurement and construction management for development of a floating oil production facility off Australia’s western coast. Last year, FluorAMEC was awarded the front-end engineering and design work and related services for this project. Contract value of the new work to Fluor is approximately USD 129 million and was booked in the company’s second quarter. The Enfield floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) facility is part of a development by Woodside Energy Limited of its Enfield Area Development. The FPSO facility will be located 25 miles off the Western Australia coast, near Exmouth, and is expected to process up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day, upon completion in 2006.
