Astec Conveyors has developed a stainless steel zero line pressure conveyor, to meet an increase in demand for a stainless steel product by manufacturers.
The company said that the product provides a cleaner and more hygienic conveyor solution than those manufactured with aluminium or mild steel powder coated side frames.
It has been designed to deliver smooth transport and product accumulation without product contact or line pressure, and is easy to maintain.
Astec controls the conveyor from a PLC, rather than control cards on the drive rollers, which it claims enables easier programme modifications and fault finding.
