ArcelorMittal intiatives

ArcelorMittal published a human rights policy outlining the importance of safe working environments, respect for human rights and freedom of association wherever the company is present. The document complements existing policies particularly the code of business conduct, environment and human resource policies, anti corruption guidelines and health and safety policies. The human rights policy coincides with ArcelorMittals commitment to the United Nations universal declaration of human rights, the United Nations global compact and the core conventions of the international labor organization. The company is now in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, a system that tracks the financial performance of the top sustainability driven companies around the world. This represents a notable milestone for the company as they are now a member of significant sustainability and corporate responsibility indexes, the FTSE4Good and the DJSI World Index series.
