Maxim Metalnikov has been appointed logistics director at ArcelorMittal Kryviy Rih. In his new role, Metalnikov will be responsible for creating a shared service structure in an attempt to unify the company’s different logistics and customs departments. He is also expected to implement SAP standards and improve planning. Metalnikov began his career in exporting companies in 1991. From 2005 through 2007, he worked as a councilor on coal and metal exports at the Moscow representative office of Noble Resources. From there, he moved on to join Transgarant, a transportation company, where he was responsible for managing an industrial railcar park. Metalnikov holds an engineering degree from Moscow University of Railway Transportation. He also holds an MBA from Antwerp University.
