The full board of Arcelor met on 21 June 2006 with Mr Kinsch as Chairman to consider the improvements to the Severstal transaction proposed by Mr Mordashov. The board also received a status report concerning ongoing discussions between Mittal Steel and Arcelor. The Arcelor board decided to postpone to 28 June the deadline for shareholders to block shares and file proxies in connection with their participation in person or by authorized representative at the shareholder’s meeting of 30 June 2006.
