Aquaterra secures a contract from Lundin Norway

Aquaterra Energy, a leader in global offshore engineering solutions, has been awarded a contract by Lundin Norway to deliver early well construction, via its Well Start solution, on three additional wells in the Edvard Grieg field.

The project follows the company’s initial work in the field which saw it manage the initiation of 14 wells from 2014 through to 2018. The contract will commence in 2019 and is expected to be completed 2020/21.

Well Start handles all early well construction activities including handling third-party interfaces on the client’s behalf, engineering, and supply of equipment. This package of services streamlines the supply chain, which minimizes the risk of delays and provides operators with multi-million-dollar savings in rig time and resources.

The Edvard Grieg field is located in production license PL338, in the Utsira High area of the Norwegian North Sea. The field began production in November 2015.
