Allan Grindlay has joined to head Apollo’s Drilling Business Unit and Nigel Robinson to lead Apollo’s Marine and Subsea Business Unit.
Allan is an experienced mechanical and chartered marine engineer with over 25 years’ experience managing rig operations around the world including the Falklands, Faroe Islands and South Africa.
Allan’s addition to Apollo complements the multi-discipline engineering team already in place and empowers Apollo to further support clients in Rig Modifications, Rig Reactivation, Compliance and also Expert Witness cases.
Nigel has worked in the Marine and Offshore industry and has previously held technical leadership and senior management positions in Aberdeen and overseas with his expertise including engineering structures and marine operations. He also has a specialist understanding of substructures, moorings, risers and marine warranty surveying.
Nigel’s focus is on consolidating Apollo’s successes in the marine, subsea and renewable sector and to drive the business forward, delivering first class service and value engineering solutions.
These appointments demonstrate Apollo’s commitment to growth and delivery promises and allow the continued growth of Apollo. The first six months of 2017 have been the busiest to date, with the market responding well to a technically led, value engineering solution.
