ANDRITZ supplies cold rolling mill to Shougang Jingtang

ANDRITZ has received an order from Shougang Jingtang United Iron & Steel Co., Ltd. in China to supply an S6-high cold rolling mill with an annual capacity of 280,000 tons. The new plant is designed to process high-strength steel grades.

The cold rolling mill will be designed with particular focus on production volume, strip shape and strip thickness tolerances to manufacture products of highest quality. Production of the first coil is scheduled for the first quarter of 2020.

The ANDRITZ scope of supply includes engineering work, delivery of core mechanical equipment components, electrical equipment, the automation system, as well as supervision of the installation and start-up of the rolling mill stand.
