ANDRITZ starts up tissue machine with steel Yankee

International technology Group ANDRITZ has completed the start-up of the PrimeLineCOMPACT II tissue machine with steel Yankee supplied to Pulp Invest, Kazan, Russia. The machine has a design speed of 1,700m/min and a width of 2.8m. The Yankee, manufactured entirely of steel, has a diameter of 3.6m.

ANDRITZ supplied the full turnkey package, comprising a new PrimeLineCOMPACT II tissue machine with steel Yankee as well as the complete stock preparation plant, pumps, automation, and electrification. “We are very pleased that we have been able to complete this important project for Pulp Invest and the Russian pulp and paper industry thanks to ANDRITZ technologies.
