AMPP appoints Juan Caballero as SPIA corrosion commission coordinator

The Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) has appointed Juan Caballero as Coordinator of the Corrosion Commission for the Panamanian Society of Engineers and Architects (SPIA).

Caballero’s appointment reflects his distinguished career, strong leadership, and long-standing commitment to advancing corrosion prevention both in Panama and internationally. In his new role, he will guide the commission’s initiatives in alignment with SPIA’s strategic objectives—promoting the profession, strengthening technical capabilities, and encouraging the exchange of best practices in corrosion control. He will also represent the commission in national and global forums, ensuring Panama’s perspective is included in key infrastructure discussions.

Caballero brings extensive experience in leading multidisciplinary teams, implementing corrosion mitigation strategies, and contributing to industry initiatives throughout Latin America.
