Allegheny Technologies Inc.’s Board of Directors elected Richard J. Harshman, 45, to the position of Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. He was previously Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. In December 2000, Mr. Harshman was elected Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all accounting, financial, treasury, tax, and internal audit functions and for investor relations. Before that, he had been Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Communications. Mr Harshman joined the company as a member of the Corporate Internal Audit Department in 1978, and has served in increasingly important roles at both the corporate and operating levels.
