Allard-Europe investment plan

Allard-Europe has announced an investment plan for the years 2009 – 2012. The plan includes : a pattern workshop with safer storage and management of all patterns as well as expansion and improvement of the work floor and storage area. The foundry will now offer higher melting capacity for heavier castings and higher flexibility. Melting capacity will be increased to over 37 T; the construction of the building will be reinforced for cranes up to 80 tons, the moulding shop will double in capacity with a new mobile sand mixer and the expansion of storage space for scrap and alloying elements. The Fettling shop will be provided with air exhausting at each grinding station with improved sound muffling as well as a turntable and manipulator for grinding/cutting of larger castings. Part of the investment plan will also include purchase of an additional tracing table  and extra space for non-destructive examination. The new machining shop will be equipped with additional machine tools for better service; a new plant for the existing machining centres; a new vertical lathe with a maximum outside turning diameter of 4.7m (provided with spindle and double column design); and a new 5-axes controlled milling and boring machine with machining length up to 13m.
