Acerinox awarded in three of the four World Stainless Steel Association categories

Acerinox receives the silver medal in the categories of market development, sustainability and safety. In these last two categories, it has also been recognised with bronze medals.

In the Safety category, Columbus Stainless won the silver medal for the solution for the turning of grinding wheels, an initiative that allows the grinding wheels to be unstacked from a horizontal to a vertical position, as well as transporting them to their vertical supports, and all this in a safe way thanks to specific lifting equipment.

In the Sustainability category, Acerinox Europe received the silver medal for the ‘Reduction of environmental pollution in the exterior areas of the Steel Plant’, while the bronze medal went to Bahru Stainless for its ‘Sustainable packaging material for its continuous reuse’.

On the other hand, North American Stainless, the Acerinox Group’s factory in the United States, won the silver medal in the market development category thanks to the project ‘Slotted Pipe for Groundwater Applications’ which can be consulted
