Abu Dhabi oilfield development

The Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Oil Operations (ADCO) has awarded VECO the front-end engineering and design contract (FEED) for the development of the new Huwaila oilfield located 30 km south of the existing Bu Hasa field. The new field is being developed for a target plateau rate of 10,000 bpd of oil. The other FEED bidders included France’s Technip-Coflexip, Tebodin Middle East, part of Tebodin Netherlands, and Petrofac International. The scope of work includes the supply and installation of a 12-inch diameter pipeline of approximately 27 km in length, a multi-phase pumping station and related facilities. Adco is an ongoing client of VECO’s. We are very pleased to have received this award, which will be executed from VECO’s Abu Dhabi office.
