AAMC earns EASA certification for EOS metal 3D printing

The Aviation AM Centre (AAMC), an EASA-approved aviation production organization specializing in additive manufacturing (AM) for the aerospace industry, has become the first independent AM parts manufacturer to qualify EOS metal 3D printing technology under its EASA Part-21/G approval.

Using a customized EOS metal AM machine, AAMC produces certified aircraft parts via advanced powder bed 3D printing. The parts come with EASA Form 1, the European Airworthiness Release Certificate, in materials including aluminium, titanium, stainless steel, and copper. This certification allows direct delivery to maintenance providers, reducing the need for OEM intermediaries and accelerating part availability.

AAMC has qualified both the manufacturing process and materials, enabling the production of certified parts for airlines, MROs, OEMs, and suppliers, enhancing efficiency and compliance in aerospace supply chains.
