PTTEP announces FID of its first greenfield development

PTTEP has reached FID for the Malaysia SK405B Project, offshore Malaysia, marking the milestone of the company’s first greenfield development project in the country to support long-term growth.

The project is designed with Zero Routine Flaring and incorporates advanced remote-operated offshore operations, underscoring PTTEP’s strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions while enhancing operational efficiency.

The Malaysia SK405B Project is operated by PTTEP Sarawak Oil Limited, a subsidiary of PTTEP, holding 49.5% participating interest, with PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. holding 25%, and Mitsui Energy Development Co., Ltd. holding 25.5%.

Currently, PTTEP has invested more than 10 projects in Malaysia in exploration, development, and production phases.
