Launching of FSO PTSC LDV at the Nantong Strongwind Shipyard

At the Nantong Strongwind Shipyard in China, the launching ceremony of FSO PTSC LDV was held successfully. This launching ceremony marks the completion of the vessel’s primary structural construction and the transition into outfitting, commissioning, and testing, on the path toward sail-away readiness.

Executed through PTSC Asia Pacific, the joint venture between PTSC and Yinson Production, the project is the latest under a partnership that has now spanned more than a decade. The vessel is designed with 500,000 barrels of storage capacity and advanced dual-fuel systems. This supports operational efficiency and will contribute to Vietnam’s longer-term energy security objectives.

This FSO is contracted to a subsidiary of Murphy Oil Corporation, with first operations expected in Q4 2026. This launch reflects the progress made by the combined teams and stakeholders, including PETROVIETNAM, OceanSTAR Elite Group, and @Nantong Strongwind.
