Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd. has developed a new coated carbide grade ACS1000, ideal for milling of stainless steel and exotic alloys, and has also expanded the lineup of applicable cutters and drills using ACS2500/ACS3000 grades.
In recent years, demand for tools with stable and long tool life has been increasing with the expansion of sectors that make heavy use of stainless steel and exotic alloys, such as semiconductors, gas and energy, and aviation industries etc.
In response to these needs, the company has developed the new coated carbide grade ACS1000, ideal for high-speed machining, as part of its new lineup of coated carbide grades for milling of stainless steel and exotic alloys, significantly contributing to improved productivity and reduced machining costs. In addition, it has expanded the lineup of applicable cutters and drills using ACS2500/ACS3000 grades to support a wider range of machining applications.
