Centravis, a global supplier of high-quality solutions in the seamless stainless steel pipes and tubes segment, started the year by scaling production capacities.
In Uzhgorod city, located in the West of Ukraine, a new production site has been launched, concentrating on tube production for the automotive and instrumentation segments. The enlargement perspective was discussed in Centravis before the war, but the Russian invasion pushed the company to implement these plans without delay. The Centravis team managed to cope with this ambitious project despite the difficulties of the war and electricity limits, which are applied across the country.
The feature of the new production facility is a modern automated line which minimises the involvement of human work. All processes at the Uzhgorod production site are controlled by a team of qualified specialists from Nikopol. The company also plans to create new jobs and attract local specialists with the opportunity to study at the Centravis base. The new production site in Uzhgorod should strengthen the company’s position in cooperation with the leading automotive brands in Europe and the USA. Currently, Centravis is ranked in second place in the global ranking of tube suppliers for fuel systems of internal combustion engines.
