ANDRITZ to supply cold strip annealing for Fuxin Steel

ANDRITZ has received an order from stainless steel producer Fuxin Special Steel Co. Ltd. to supply a cold strip annealing and pickling line for its Fuxin plant, Fujian Province, China.

The line will produce flat products in the 200, 300, and 400 stainless steel series, like 2D- and 2B-surface quality strip, and will have a total annual production capacity of 320,000 tons. Production of the first coil is scheduled for the second quarter of 2020.

The ANDRITZ scope of supply includes the mechanical equipment, the degreasing section, the annealing furnace, the pickling section (including a neolyte recovery system and a PYROMARS plant), the skin pass mill and leveler, the automation and electrical equipment, and the instrumentation systems.

This order once again confirms the outstanding stainless steel processing technology provided by ANDRITZ. Fuxin Special Steel Co., Ltd. is an integrated stainless steel manufacturer who covers steel-making, casting, and hot-rolling as well as annealing and pickling.
