The âhigh strength & high corrosion-resistant stainless steel and its applicationâ? project jointly applied and participated in by many units amongst whom TISCO is listed as one of the national key R&D schemes for upgrade and industrialization of key basic material technologies.
In the project, high quality duplex stainless steel used in special industries such as dangerous goods transportation and handling, super-austenitic stainless steel used in the environment-friendly fields, high strength stainless steel, heat-resistant stainless steel used in turbine rotors, super-martensitic stainless steel used in oil & gas exploration and antibacterial stainless steel are selected as research objects.
Led by TISCO, 14 leading enterprises / universities / scientific research institutes in Chinaâs steel industry such as Central Iron And Steel Research Institute, Beijing University of Science and Technology , Northeastern University , Chinese Academy of Sciences Metal , Special Steel of Baosteel , China First Heavy Industries , Zhejiang JIULI Hi-Tech Metals Co., Ltd, etc. join in this project.
With the project target achieved, the structural adjustment of Chinaâs special stainless steel and the whole stainless steel industry will be greatly promoted in technical improvement, quality control and product application. This project will contribute considerable economic, environmental and social benefits.
