Sandvik launches new generation mining equipments

Sandvik had recently introduced innovative new generation of mining equipment products and services at the MINExpo INTERNATIONAL® 2016 held in Las Vegas, US. Sandvik had set up a fully functional automation control center at the show. Based on the technology for AutoMine™ it demonstrated the reliable and easy-to-use automation equipment. Sandvik also launched the battery-driven underground jumbo Sandvik DD422iE, which help mines address present and future emissions challenges. By using electric energy from an onboard battery during tramming, Sandvik DD422iE produces zero emissions while maneuvering between headings.

Sandvik introduced the battery-powered loader Sandvik LH307B, with new technology for emission-free underground loading and hauling. By utilizing electrical power it provides the independence of movement, similar to diesel loaders, yet without the related diesel emissions and costs. Using the charging station’s “quick charge,â€? Sandvik DU412i, which is the first in its next generation of ITH (in-the-hole) underground production drill rigs, was also launched at the show. The automation-ready drill rig is built on a modular standardized platform, delivering a truly flexible automated long hole production and service hole drill.
