Second large whirling machine arrives at SEEPEX

A second large whirling machine, valued at EUR 1.8M, recently arrived at the SEEPEX production facility in Bottrop, Germany. It machines all kinds of steel to make the various rotor sizes from the extensive SEEPEX pump portfolio. The machine was designed and built in accordance with SEEPEX’s specifications and produces rotors from high-strength stainless steels with exceptional dimensional precision and surface quality, which corresponds to our high quality standards.

 

The new machine can produce rotors with a diameter between 30-360 mm and a maximum length of 8 m. The 17 meter long, 45 metric ton machine also comes equipped with state-of-the-art control technology. Stefan Bender, SEEPEX’s Production Manager, explains: “The delivery of the second whirling machine means we will be extremely well placed in the future to manufacture excellent rotors of the very highest quality.â€?
