Total Energie Gas and Energie Baden-Württemberg (EnBW) are forging a partnership for the marketing of energy. Total has been selling gas to municipal utilities as well as industrial and commercial customers across Germany since April 2011. In May 2015, it also started marketing electricity to commercial customers. In order to broaden its services, Total sought a partner able to support it with handling energy business processes. At the same time, it revamped its IT landscape to ensure stable processes in its new electricity segment from the outset.
Specifically, EnBW is handling the energy business processes relating to metering data management, market communications, customer service as well as billing and receivables management for Total’s electricity segment. There are also plans for additional services to be provided in the gas segment.
Said Jozua Knol, managing director of Total Energie Gas: “We have gained an experienced and strong partner to drive our continued growth and to broaden our services in the electricity area. With its professional advice and deep understanding of our requirements, EnBW was the perfect choice for this. Our decision was materially based on EnBW’s strong customer-centric approach and expertise together with its many years of experience in handling energy business processes.”
