BW LPG appointed Martin Ackermann as the CEO of the company. Ackermann is currently the CEO of Evergas. He will take up his new role at BW LPG in Singapore once his contractual commitments have been finalised. BW LPG’s current CEO, Nicholas Gleeson, will return to his previous position as CFO of BW Group.
Martin Ackermann has been CEO of Evergas since 2008, where he has led the rejuvenation of the former Eitzen Gas fleet, including the development of eight ethane carriers on long-term contracts. Andreas Sohmen-Pao, chairperson of BW LPG, says: “We are very grateful to Nick for his sterling efforts taking BW LPG to the stock market and in the period thereafter, and are pleased to have his continued contributions as CFO of BW Group. We are delighted to be welcoming Martin as CEO of BW LPG.”
